The original engine is finally stripped...



Piston on right twisted.. and also supposedly at TDC.. a bent and twisted conrod I guess.. this may have been the knocking..


Valve stuck down... maybe this was causing the harsh knocking... although the compression on this cylinder seemed fine when engine was removed....






The view from the back.. drain plug for rear bank shown (it has no hose connection, unlike the front bank) - it's somewhere between 3/8 and 1/4 square drive..

fitting LPG and a tyre well flood

Lpg Manifold/injectors fitted..... vapouriser is shown front right of engine bay, its loose.. will be fitted about that location but 30cm lower. The cable conduit runing across the engine is no longer bolted in place.. extending the gas tubes may enable this to bolt back in the future.. not too worried right now.





The gas injection manifold, hard to see but the brass tubes stick into the airstream by about 5mm.. in future I may file them down, not sure yet so leaving be.. OE inlet manifold gasket £2, factors price £16 !!
